Ash Redfern:
Known to many as ‘Bad’, Ash Redfern has been in numerous Night World books. These include Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness, Dark Angel, and Soulmate. Ash is a lamia, belonging to the famous Redfern family. He has long, ash-blonde hair, eyes that continually change colour, and a disarming smile. His physique is tall and lanky.

Ash was once described as a bad little boy who would probably grow up to be even worse. His great-aunt Opal Burdock got it right. Those who know Ash say he is self-centered and loves causing trouble. He uses his charm to play with people, human girls especially. His cousin, James Rasmussen, blasts Ash in Secret Vampire, telling him that one day, Ash will find someone worth caring for. This is just what happens in Daughters of Darkness.

Ash arrives at Briar Creek to take his runaway sisters back to the Night World island they live on. During his visit, Ash meets a human – Mary-Lynnette Carter. These two instantly dislike each other, yet, when they shake hands, they feel sparks. Furthermore, when Mary-Lynnette literally kicks Ash out of her house, he is surprised he does not feel the urge to harm her. Suddenly, Ash becomes tired of his life.

When Ash confronts his sisters, they pick up on the tension between Ash and Mary-Lynnette. It is Rowan, the oldest of his sisters, who says what Ash is thinking – that he and Mary-Lynnette may be soulmates. Both Ash and Mary-Lynnette agree there is no chance of them acting on this. But, when Jeremy Lovett – a friend of Mary-Lynnette’s – tries to murder Ash, Mary-Lynnette is forced to kill to protect Ash. This is when the two realise they are capable of caring for each other.

At the end of Daughters of Darkness, Ash allows his sisters to stay in Briar Creek with Mary-Lynnette and her family. Mary-Lynnette convinces Ash to leave her until she has finished high school. She tells him to use this time to think about whether he really wants a human for a life partner. Ash promises Mary-Lynnette he will come back for her when he has made up for the suffering he has caused others.

In Soulmate, Ash tells Hannah Snow at a Circle Daybreak meeting that he is missing Mary-Lynnette greatly.

Blaise Harman:
Blaise Harman is an eighteen-year-old witch who craves attention. Her dark, smouldering beauty gets plenty of it. Blaise has smoky grey eyes and milky skin framed by dark hair. Her body is curves galore and her clothes emphasise every one of them.

Blaise loves seducing men. She toys with them until they are no longer any fun. Then she discards them as quickly as she got them. Blaise is a persistent person who always gets what – and who – she wants. Being a Circle Midnighter, she has no qualms about using her magic for such purposes.

When Blaise and her cousin Thea Harman are expelled from their last school, they are given one last chance by their grandmother, Edgith Harman. She warns them that if they are expelled from their new school – Lake Mead High – Edgith will be forced to send them to a convent.

By the end of the first day at her new school, Blaise has picked out the boys she would like to toy with. On her list is Eric Ross, until Thea vehemently claims she wants Eric for herself. Blaise agrees to pass up on him. But one night, when Thea confides in Blaise, telling her she thinks Eric is her soulmate, Blaise – who considers Thea her sister rather than her cousin – is instantly defensive of Thea breaking Night World law. She tells Thea she will seduce Eric away from her. Thea is adamant Eric will never leave her. Blaise grimly accepts this as a challenge. She works hard, casting spells, charming her jewellery, and even concocting a love elixir, but Eric does not sway.

In her attempt to keep Eric, Thea carries out a forbidden spell that turns bad. An evil witch spirit is released and starts killing students at school. Thea and Eric work together to send the spirit back but the Inner Circle finds out about Blaise and Thea using magic for personal gain.

Edgith is the head of the Inner Circle. She listens as Thea explains that Eric is her soulmate. The Inner Circle decides Thea may be with Eric if she gives up her heritage as a witch. Thea and Eric are asked to drink the Cup of Lethe, which will make them forget everything they know about the Night World. Blaise gives them their drinks. Outside, Eric tells Thea he remembers everything! Thea laughs in delight – she knows Blaise has given them tea instead of Lethe. Blaise joins the couple outside. She says goodbye to her cousin, telling Thea she hopes now that Thea has Eric, she will continue to want him.

Blaise is sent to live at the convent.

David Blackburn:
Because I have not read Dark Angel, I can only give you general information about this character. A more detailed profile will be put up as soon as I read the book.

David Blackburn is eighteen years old. He has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a tanned face. David has a girlfriend, Tanya Junn, before he begins noticing Gillian Lennox. When Gillian suddenly becomes a sensation at school, David overhears Tanya and Gillian talking about Tanya having cheated on him. He promptly breaks up with her. But David starts liking Gillian, and soon, they are dating.

When Gillian tells David a spirit who calls himself Angel was the cause of a car accident in which David fell unconscious, David helps his new girlfriend to find out the truth about Angel. They learn Angel is actually Gary Fargeon, a lost Harman witch who is stuck between life and death because he has unfinished business. The night of his death, Gary cast a spell that killed a girl. Gary buried her body without anyone knowing. This is why he is unable to cross over. David and Gillian help Gary to cross over by digging up this body and informing the police about it.

During the events of Dark Angel, David discovers Gillian is a lost witch too, of Harman heritage. The couple also realise they are soulmates.

David and Gillian reappear in Soulmate. They are at a Circle Daybreak gathering.

* The information for this profile was obtained from Creative Essays.com.

* The image used to represent David Blackburn is off the North American cover for Dark Angel and yes, I realise that the guy is actually supposed to be Gary Fargeon but I used him to represent David because their physical descriptions match better. (For example, Gary has gold-coloured hair whereas David and, obviously, the guy on the cover have brown hair.)

Delos Redfern:
Delos Redfern is a young vampire Prince, ruler of the Dark Kingdom enclave. He has wavy brown hair, black-lashed yellow eyes, and elegant cheekbones bones over a smooth, pale face.

Delos is a Wild Power. Since he was a child, he was made to use the blue fire within his blood as a weapon. In Black Dawn, Delos is convinced his great-grandfather, Hunter Redfern, will triumph in the Millennium. So, Delos plans to join forces with Hunter to destroy the day world.

When Delos meets human Maggie Neely, they realise they are soulmates. After much reluctance to accept he loves Maggie, Delos demands Maggie become a vampire and join forces with his side of the battle. Maggie tells him humans are people and they have as much right to live as Night People do. She says she will never accept his offer. But Delos has strong determination, so, he locks her in a dungeon at the Black Dawn castle until she is willing. Maggie is also determined – to show Delos that humans are not merely vermin. She convinces him of this when Delos visits her in the dungeon again. When Delos sees how the human slaves in his kingdom are being treated, he tells Maggie he will no longer fight with Hunter.

But Hunter is listening in on their conversation. He tells Delos he suspected betrayal. He locks Delos in the dungeon as well and informs the couple they will be the prey of the big hunt tomorrow.

The next day, as the hunt is about to start, Delos speaks to his nobles who have betrayed his loyalty. He tells them to think twice about trusting a man who could do this to his own great-grandson. Hunter furiously tells Delos to shut up. Meanwhile, Sylvia Weald – the witch who has placed a spell on Delos to prevent him from using his blue fire – is suffering a bout of conscience. Maggie pleads for Sylvia to remove the spell. When Aradia, the blind Maiden of the witches who is also present, demands for her to do so, Sylvia does it. She removes the spell just as Hunter orders her death. The spell has been removed and Delos aims his arm at Hunter. The blue fire leaves no trace of the aristocratic Redfern.

Delos and Maggie decide to work with Circle Daybreak for the battle during the Millennium.

Delos is the son of Tormentil Redfern, who was the son of Chervil Redfern, the first and only son Hunter had. Tormentil and Chervil are no longer alive. Chervil founded Dark Kingdom and Tormentil was the king until he died. In Black Dawn, Tormentil is described as looking almost exactly like Hunter. Tormentil pushed Delos to be ruthless and cold. And, when he discovered his son had blue fire in his blood, Tormentil made his toddler-aged son kill using it. Maggie comments on the coldness and loneliness that exudes from Delos when she first meets him.

But when she learns Blaise – her cousin and fellow witch, a notorious man seducer – has set her sight on Eric, Thea is bothered. She tells Blaise she wants Eric for herself. Blaise is suspicious but agrees to back off. Meanwhile, Eric is thrilled when Thea starts taking more interest in him. They go to the school dance together. Thea learns Eric plans to be a vet. Blaise grimly accepts this as a challenge. She casts spells, even concocts a love elixir, but Eric does not sway.

Thea is happy but not for long. In her desperate attempt to keep Eric, she unleashes an evil witch spirit who begins murdering students at Lake Mead High. Thea is forced to tell Eric the truth about herself now. Not surprisingly, he knows she is not a normal human. She tells him their love could kill them. Eric is adamant to stay with her and help her send back the spirit.

They do just that – only, the Inner Circle finds out. Thea’s grandmother Edgith Harman is the head of the Inner Circle. Galen Drache:
As the Prince of the First House of the Shape-shifters, Galen Drache was born with the choice of deciding which animal form he would like to call. Along with the privileges of being a Prince also came the fact that Galen was destined to marry the Witch Child – discovered to be Iliana Dominick, who is also the third Wild Power – to unite and bring peace to shape-shifters and witches who have been feuding with each other for over thirty thousand years.

It was while he was spying on his soon-to-be wife when Galen meets Raksha Keller, a Circle Daybreaker who is hired to protect Iliana from Night World thugs. Without knowing Galen is the Prince, Keller – who is also a shape-shifter – speaks to him without inhibitions. This is a refreshing change for Galen, who is used to being treated with courtesy and respect. Galen decides to help Keller and her team protect Iliana, and, after spending time with Keller, Galen realises he has fallen for her! He believes Keller has feelings for him too but she is adamant not to get between him and his destiny as Prince.

Being the noble man he is, Galen assures Keller he will marry Iliana if the fate of the world depends on it. But, at the promise ceremony, Iliana proves she is more than a blonde ditz who cares only about clothes. She stops the ceremony and forces Galen and Keller to admit they love each other. She also demands the witches and shape-shifters should accept Keller. When the girls carry out a blood-tie, the alliance goes ahead.

In Witchlight, Galen chooses to call the leopard.

Currently in the Night World series, Iliana, Keller, and Galen are all living in a safe house, waiting for the Millennium to arrive.

Galen is described as looking every bit the Prince he is. He has golden-blonde hair, with a pale, perfectly sculptured face, and gentle emerald-green eyes that seem to shine endlessly with light.

Hana of the Three Rivers is an old soul who has been around since the beginning of time. She has lived many lives, has had many names but in her current life, she is Hannah Snow – an all American, sixteen-year-old girl with long, straight blonde hair, grey eyes, and a strawberry-coloured birthmark on her left cheek.

Hannah goes to see a psychologist about notes she has recently been writing to herself, foretelling her death before her seventeenth birthday. The psychologist suggests hypnosis. From this, Hannah learns of her first life as Hana of the Three Rivers. Her hypnosis is cut short but later that night, a man Hannah recognises from her age regression, approaches her in her backyard.

He says he is Thierry Descouedres, her soulmate. Thierry also tells Hannah she has been reincarnated many times. Hannah believes Thierry is telling the truth and, when they touch, Hannah feels the electricity generated by their touch. But their intimate moment is short-lived when Hannah has another vision – of Thierry killing her in all her previous lives. Hannah warns Thierry to stay away from her. She receives another visit – this time from Maya. Maya has come to tell Hannah Thierry will attempt to kill her again. Hannah thanks Maya for the information and just as Maya leaves, Thierry reappears – this time trying to stab Hannah. She is able to fight him off but when Thierry approaches her the next night, Hannah is prepared for an attack. Instead, Thierry tells her if she wants him to leave, he will. She does, and he leaves.

Wanting to know more about Hana of the Three Rivers, Hannah undergoes hypnosis again. This time she sees the full story. Hana of the Three Rivers feels for a man who has been captured by the tribe men, who found him sucking blood from a child. In his eyes, Hana sees pain. She decides to let him go but the tribe people attempt to capture him again, jabbing him with spears. The man lashes out at every body until he sees he has hurt the girl who tried to help him. He touches her on her left cheek, leaving a smear of blood on it. Hannah recognises the man as Thierry.

She also has a vision of Maya changing her form to appear as Thierry. Maya then approaches Hannah in all of her previous lives and pretends to be Thierry. As they embrace, Maya kills her.

Hannah now knows she has been fooled. She goes to Las Vegas in search of Thierry. She is staying at his mansion – waiting for him to get back from a business trip – when Maya kidnaps her. Maya takes Hannah to a secluded cave where she spends the next few days exchanging blood with Hannah. She tells Hannah vampires can’t be reincarnated and without Hannah, Thierry will forever be miserable.

Lucky for Hannah that Thierry finds her. Maya refuses to let both Hannah and Thierry escape though, forcing Hannah to stake her in the heart.

Iliana Dominick thinks she is a normal, teenage girl. Her priorities are boys, clothes, and parties. But, one day whilst shopping at the local mall, Iliana is kidnapped by Raksha Keller and her Circle Daybreak team. They have been ordered to protect Iliana – a lost Harman witch, who is the Witch Child and also the third Wild Power – from Night World thugs. Iliana thinks Keller and her people are nuts! She refuses to believe what she is being told, making her almost impossible to deal with according to Keller.

Despite feeling as if Keller is wasting her time on Iliana, Iliana develops a bond with her chief protector. And, at the end of Witchlight, when Iliana is forced to fight Azhdeha the dragon alone, in her desperation to save Keller and her friends from certain death, Iliana is able to summon her Wild Power. She lashes it out at Azhdeha, destroying him, meanwhile proving to everyone – herself included – that she really is the special witch.

This delicate flower is also not fooled by Keller and Galen Drache – the Prince of the First House, whom Iliana is destined to marry. At her promise ceremony, Iliana makes known her wisdom when she tells the witches and shape-shifters that Keller and Galen belong together.

Maggie Neely:
Maggie Neely is a short, sixteen-year-old human girl passionate about soccer. One night, Maggie learns that her brother Miles has been killed whilst mountain climbing with his new girlfriend, Sylvia Weald. Maggie believes the story Sylvia relays to the police is false. So, Maggie follows Sylvia that night, hoping to learn something. She learns Sylvia is dangerous. As she confronts Sylvia about her story, Maggie falls unconscious. When she comes to, she finds out she has been kidnapped and is being taken to the Dark Kingdom, an enclave owned by Night People. Maggie and the other girls kidnapped with her try to escape. When two shape-shifters have Maggie cornered, she wills herself to fight them off. But, as one shape-shifter gets hold of her, he is killed by blue fire. The blue fire comes from a young boy, whom Maggie has seen before – in a dream. Maggie thanks him for saving her life but he shortly tells her he did not do it for her.

Despite his unfriendliness, Maggie is fascinated by the boy. And, when their bare skins touch, Maggie and he see they have some sort of connection. Maggie learns this boy is Delos Redfern, a vampire Prince – her soulmate – who rules this kingdom. Maggie learns a lot about Delos during their connection. She discovers he is a Wild Power; that he has been used as a weapon his whole life. Delos angrily tells Maggie to keep out of his mind. But Maggie also sees what he thinks of her. He sees a human unafraid of him. A human with a big heart and an iron will. Maggie wants to love him. She tells him so. They break contact suddenly. Then, Delos says he killed Miles. Maggie does not believe him. But their meeting ends when Sylvia shows up. Delos leads Sylvia away but he warns Maggie to leave Dark Kingdom or she will die.

Maggie does not leave though. The friend Maggie escaped with has been poisoned. Maggie needs to get to the castle to find a healer. And once again, Maggie and her friends are hunted by shape-shifters. This time, Delos and Sylvia are with them as is Hunter Redfern, the great-grandfather of Delos, Maggie is told. The hunting party stop near Maggie but they do not see her. That is, until Delos looks directly at her. In her mind, she hears his voice. Leave, he tells her. He also warns her he will not help her again.

Maggie and her friends get to the castle. Maggie then becomes determined to talk to Delos about freeing the human slaves from this kingdom. Maggie hopes the connection between them will make Delos agree with her. Maggie confronts him in his bedroom. Delos is exasperated yet again when he sees no fear in Maggie. So, to scare her, he threatens to bite her throat. Maggie tells him to go ahead and get it over with. Delos sighs. He has tried to fight off his feelings for Maggie. Now, Delos tells Maggie the human world is about to be destroyed, and, that he and Hunter have plans to have a hand in it. He demands Maggie become a vampire and join forces with his side of the battle.

Meanwhile, Sylvia – who is a witch – has placed a spell on Delos to prevent him from using his blue fire. Maggie pleads for Sylvia to remove the spell. Sylvia ends up removing the spell but just as she does, Hunter orders her death. Delos quickly aims his arm at Hunter. The blue fire leaves no trace of the aristocratic Redfern.

The slaves believe they have been set free because of Maggie. Maggie is, therefore, the ‘Deliverer’ – the one, according to myth, who would set the kingdom slaves free. Also, Sylvia tells Maggie that she made Miles a shape-shifter. Maggie finds Miles – he has the form of the falcon. Maggie is glad to see him again.

Maggie and Delos decide to join Circle Daybreak.

Maggie is described as having brown hair with auburn highlights, a round face with pale skin, and unfaltering sorrel-coloured eyes.

Maya:
When time began, there existed a witch tribe. The twin daughters of the Witch Queen, Hecate, were the leaders of the tribe. Maya and Hellewise were as opposite as night and day. While Hellewise had fair beauty, Maya had dark beauty – chalky white skin and eyes that were constantly changing colour, framed by thick black hair.

Maya and Hellewise were both interested in Theorn. When Maya found the spell for immortality, she stole four babies from the tribe and drank their blood. The tribe found the bled out bodies of the babies. Hellewise vowed to punish her sister for what she had done. Meanwhile, Maya visited Theorn one night. She explained to him that she loved him and wanted to make him immortal like her, so, she ripped his throat and began sucking his blood. Theorn – now known as Thierry Descouedres – became the first made vampire.

Maya cast another spell that enabled her to have a child, Red Fern. Red Fern was capable of having children, making him the first lamia vampire.

Maya proliferated her race by attacking people from her former tribe. Hellewise was forced to challenge Maya in a duel. She drove Maya and her vampires out of the tribe but later died of the wounds inflicted during the duel.

When Theorn was made a vampire, he ran away from the tribe. But he could not satiate the burning thirst he felt for blood. When he could no longer control himself, Theorn attacked the first person he encountered – a child. Men from the local tribe captured Theorn and held him in captivity. Theorn met his soulmate, Hana of the Three Rivers – now known as Hannah Snow – during this time. In a fit of rage, Theorn attacked the tribe people, accidentally including Hana in the attack. When Hana died, Theorn took her to Hellewise, who performed a spell on Hana to allow her to be reincarnated.

Since then, Hana has lived many lifetimes. But every lifetime is cut short because Maya, still feeling jilted by Theorn, kills her. Maya changes her appearance to appear as Theorn before killing Hana, making Hana think her soulmate has killed her.

Maya is the only known vampire with the ability to create illusions and shape-shift. When, in her current life, Hannah discovers the truth about Maya, she goes to Las Vegas to find Thierry. She is staying at his mansion – waiting for him to get back from a business trip – when Maya, disguised as a bat, kidnaps her. Maya takes Hannah to a secluded cave where she spends the next few days exchanging blood with Hannah. She tells Hannah vampires cannot be reincarnated and without Hannah, Thierry will forever be miserable.

Thierry finds out and comes to the rescue. He tells Maya nobody has to die this day. Maya agrees to give up Hannah in peace. But, as she tells Thierry he never understood her love for him, Maya moves to stake him. Hannah sees this in time and stakes Maya instead. Maya is surprised Hannah had the guts to kill her.

Morgead Blackthorn grew up without a father. His mother came in and out of his life until she too disappeared when Morgead was still just a kid. Night World elders did not think Morgead important enough to take care of him. But this gives Morgead the comfort to live his life how he wants too. He does not go to school. And, after years of fending for himself, this lamia has grown to be tough and street-smart.

A teenager now, he is part of a gang of vampire raiders. Their idea of fun is finding humans to mentally torture. The leader of the gang is Jez Redfern. As kids, Morgead and Jez were playmates. Now, they are rivals, continually sniping at each other and challenging one another for leadership of their gang.

But when one day Jez ups and leaves without notice, Morgead thinks it is because of him. When Jez comes back a year later wanting to rejoin her former gang, Morgead lets her have leadership. Morgead tells Jez of his plans to find a human Wild Power. Jez, who has become a Circle Daybreaker and is on a mission to find that Wild Power and sway them into joining forces with Circle Daybreak, keeps her assignment a secret from Morgead, fearing that if he finds out she herself is half human, he will kill her.

Working together gives rise to many intimate moments between Morgead and Jez. At the end of Huntress, when Morgead finally figures out Jez’s affiliation with Circle Daybreak, he explodes at her for not telling him sooner. Jez is surprised Morgead doesn’t want to kill her. Morgead makes known his true feelings for her – that he has always loved her, that he has felt this way since they were kids because, even though nobody else cared for him, Jez did.

The couple are now living at a safe house owned by Circle Daybreak. They continue to snipe at each other.

Jez describes Morgead as stubborn. He has pale skin, emerald eyes, and dark hair.

Raksha Keller:
Raksha Keller was abandoned by her mother when she was just a toddler because she could not control her shape-shifting back then, and thus, remained in her half human, half panther form. Circle Daybreakers found her in a park and took her in. Since then, Keller has devoted her life to working for Circle Daybreak as a form of repayment for raising her.

One could say her most challenging mission was dealing with Iliana Dominick!

Being the Witch Child and third Wild Power, Iliana was destined to marry Galen Drache, the Prince of the First House of the Shape-shifters. When Keller and her team rescue Iliana from an assassination attempt at the mall, Galen tags along. Unbeknown to Keller that Galen is the Prince, Keller has little patience for him. She is very short with him! When she does find out about his true identity, Keller feels humiliated.

One afternoon, Galen and Keller are alone in a room, attempting to sort out their differences when they touch. Both feel sparks but Keller blames this on the stress of her mission. She also tells Galen she will not be made sentimental and weak. Galen is horrified. He knows they are soulmates. He wishes for her to accept this fact. Only towards the end of Witchlight does Keller finally admit she loves Galen too. Both promise to keep their love a secret.

But, at her promise ceremony, Iliana reveals their truth. The witches and shape-shifters agree that if Keller and Iliana perform a blood-tie, Keller and Galen can be promised to each other. Iliana is happy to perform the blood-tie. Though she too loves Galen, she says there is a bond between Keller and Galen that she just can’t compete with.

Keller has straight black hair that falls past her hips and cool grey eyes. She used to hate being called by her first name but does not mind now when Galen does it! She also loves it when he reads her his poetry.

Eric is puzzled; he knows Thea has done something to heal him but when he and Thea touch, he forgets everything. Everything except Thea! He feels a strong connection to her, as if he has known her for a long time. When Eric says this out loud, Thea admonishes him to stop talking gibberish. Eric apologises but remains confused by what he felt. Since then, Thea avoids Eric as much as possible because she too felt what Eric felt.

Thierry Descouedres:
Over thirty thousand years ago, a nineteen-year-old boy witch named Theorn belonged to the tribe of Maya and Hellewise. The leaders of the tribe were Maya and Hellewise, twin sisters who were both beautiful in their own way. They were both also interested in Theorn, who had white-blonde hair, dark eyes, and a tall physique.

Theorn was not given a choice as to which sister he wanted, as Maya chose him to be the first made vampire. When Maya cast a spell on herself to become a vampire, she attacked Theorn. When he fully transformed into a vampire, Theorn could not satiate the burning thirst he felt for blood. When he could no longer control himself, Theorn attacked the first person he encountered – a child. Men from the local tribe captured Theorn and held him in captivity.

When Hana of the Three Rivers visits the creature that drinks human blood, she sees an endless sadness in Theorn’s eyes. For this reason, Hana lets Theorn go. But the tribe people do not agree with Hana’s decision, so, they try to capture Theorn again, jabbing him with spears. Theorn lashes out at every body hurting him until he sees he has hurt the girl who tried to help him. He touches her on her left cheek, leaving a smear of blood on it. Theorn takes Hana to Hellewise, who performs a spell on Hana to allow her to be reincarnated. Hellewise also puts Theorn to sleep. He will wake up when Hana has been born again.

Hana of the Three Rivers lives many lives. Theorn – now Thierry – searches for Hana in all her lives but before he can get to her, Maya, still feeling jilted by Theorn, finds Hana first and kills her after she changes her appearance to look like Thierry, making Hana believe Thierry is killing her.

When Thierry finds Hana of the Three Rivers in her current life, as Hannah Snow, he is delighted when they share an intimate moment together. But suddenly, Hannah remembers Thierry killing her. She warns him to stay away. Thierry tells Hannah he will leave her alone if that is what she wants. When Thierry meets Maya at the airport, he asks her to give up the game and leave Hannah alone. He promises Maya he will stay away from Hannah. But Maya has thought of something new – if she converts Hannah into a vampire, Hannah can’t be reincarnated.

Maya kidnaps Hannah and takes her to a secluded cave where she proceeds to carry out her plan. Thierry finds out and comes to Hannah’s rescue. Thierry wants to settle this in peace. He convinces Maya to give up Hannah. As she does, Maya tells Thierry he never understood the way she felt about him. In a quick move, Maya tries to stake Thierry but Hannah stakes Maya instead.

Thierry and Hannah celebrate the first time Hannah turns seventeen. Hannah comments on seeing a smidgen of sadness in Thierry’s eyes but she hopes that with time, it will fade.

Thierry is given the title of Lord of the Night World for being the first made vampire. Also, he secretly established Circle Daybreak.
