CHARACTER PERSONALITIES.
Ash Redfern:
Ash Redfern suffered a serious personality change when he met his soulmate, Mary-Lynnette Carter. The old Ash loved to cause trouble for everyone – including his cousins! Charming but cunning, Ash got along with few. With Ash, people never knew if they were his friend or his enemy. They also had trouble deciphering the truths from his lies. When Ash met Mary-Lynnette, he tried to charm her to get information about his sisters out of her. But Mary-Lynnette did not buy, surprising Ash who was used to getting his way with human girls. The Ash now no longer feels any joy in playing with people and their feelings and relationships. Ash is taking life seriously for once. He is even opening up to people, letting them know his true feelings.

Blaise Harman:
Blaise Harman has no qualms about being sinful and immoral. She is like Maya in many ways. Blaise never stops until she gets what she wants. She also loves attention. Blaise enjoys being patronising and watching boys fight over her. This is why she is always causing trouble and getting into it. She certainly has zest for her life! But there are some good qualities about Blaise that Maya does not have, such as loyalty. And, though Blaise likes to give the impression that she is cold and unfeeling, there are some people Blaise will do anything for – Thea Harman being one of them.

Delos Redfern:
Delos Redfern grew up without love and affection. His father said this would make him a strong and fearful man. And it did. A teenager now, Delos carries with him an underlying loneliness. When he and Maggie Neely connect minds, Maggie senses this. Maggie is overwhelmed with the feeling of giving Delos her love. But Delos remains aloof. When he finally opens up to her love, Delos learns to care for others as well, including his slaves. Maggie says Delos is stubborn and strong-willed himself.

Eric Ross is described as a gentle, sweet, and shy guy. He is a romantic at heart. Eric is loyal and honest. He helped Thea Harman fight off an evil witch spirit. He also stood by her when she had to confront the Inner Circle.

Galen Drache:
Galen Drache is not a violent person. Instead of playing fighter, Galen would rather be the mediator. But Galen will fight to protect his loved ones. He has come to realise that sometimes you have to fight. Galen is a gentle, calm, and collected type of person. He rarely shouts. Having grown up as the Prince of the First House, Galen is no stranger to formality and etiquette. He also has charm, exuded by his shy smile. Lastly, Galen is a total romantic. He believes everybody should have love in their life.

Hannah Snow:
Hannah Snow is a gentle, compassionate, and caring soul. Hannah believes everybody deserves happiness if they earn it. Hannah is not a fighter but when push comes to shove, she refuses to be a victim. Hannah has a certain grace and tranquillity about her that makes people feel comfortable but slightly awed in her presence. Thierry Descouedres says Hannah reminds him a lot of Hellewise in the sense that, despite her beauty, the pure soul in Hannah shows clearly.

Hunter Redfern:
Hunter Redfern may have a public image of being law-biding, honest, and one with honour but this patriarch is really just cunning and completely cold-blooded. Hunter is happily willing to kill his own family members if they do not agree with him. This vampire desires power more than anything. His presence commands respect and obedience. Few people stand up to him, and even fewer survive.

Iliana Dominick:
Iliana Dominick is sensitive, sweet, and sometimes shy. Iliana is described as an open book – her face and body language always gives away her feelings. This girl has a tendency to be childish and a knack for stupidity but otherwise Iliana is a very lovable person who cares for others and is forever willing to protect the people she loves. Iliana is graceful and fragile-looking. She can also be serious and look like a warrior.

James Rasmussen:
James Rasmussen is intelligible. He has a sharp mind but does not like to show this fact off. He is a fairly reserved person; he does not like to tell everybody about his problems, just to those who are closest to him. This makes James hard to get to know but once he becomes comfortable with you, he is quite open. James is not the sort of person who likes to be the center of attention but when he is, he handles it well. He is honest, loyal, lovable, sweet, and romantic. Like Poppy North, when James feels threatened or the need to protect, he will lash out with ferocity.

Jez Redfern:
Jez Redfern is full of confidence. Jez is wild and carefree. She does what she wants, when she wants. She also treasures her independence. This is the reason for her motorcycle (besides the fact that riding it gives her a thrill). When Jez needs to get away, she will hop on her bike and go for a ride. As a fighter, Jez exudes toughness and power. She fights her own battles. In fact, Jez would rather die than receive help in a fight! Because of this, Morgead Blackthorn thinks Jez is too stubborn and strong-willed for her own good. Jez also has a love for black humour.

John Quinn:
John Quinn used to be ruthless and vengeful. He hated almost everybody, humans in particular. When Quinn met Rashel Jordan though, he discovered feelings he had lost centuries ago. Feelings of respect, loneliness, and eventually, love. Now, Quinn has let his anger and hatred go. But he is still charming, a strong and strategic fighter, and sardonic to some.

Maggie Neely:
Maggie Neely is described as a real bleeding heart. She is compassionate, courageous, selfless, stubborn, and strong-willed. She is very trusting of people and likes to think there is good in everyone. Many people pass Maggie off as a dummy. Those who have, have learnt Maggie is actually quite intelligent. It is just her fearlessness and bravery that makes Maggie take risks.

Mary-Lynnette Carter:
Mary-Lynnette Carter is not your usual girl. She likes the peace and quite of night and would rather spend her Friday nights star-watching than attending parties and making out with boys. Mary-Lynnette is intelligent. She believes education is very important. And, having matured early to take care of her father and brother after her mother died, Mary-Lynnette has become a responsible and serious person. Sometimes it is hard for her to be laid back. She is constantly thinking of the future. Mary-Lynnette is caring, sincere, and loyal. Rowan Redfern says she is also a good listener. Mary-Lynnette is very protective of her loved ones.

Maya:
Maya has many qualities – she is patronising, cunning, dishonest, unbelievably powerful, sexy, mischievous, unrelenting, vengeful, and most definitely, sinful. Maya always has to win. She does whatever it takes to get what she wants. Giving up is not an option for her. Maya likes causing trouble. She gets a thrill keeping her enemies unhappy. In her own twisted way, Maya is also capable of love. But her possessiveness can drive her to the extreme. Few people could stand up to, let alone fight, Maya.

Morgead Blackthorn:
Morgead Blackthorn is like Jez Redfern in many ways. He appreciates his independence, he is a powerful fighter, and he is also very stubborn. Other qualities Morgead has include honesty and loyalty. Jez brings out the compassion in him. It is custom for Morgead to be annoying and scornful. He can be dreamy and romantic every now and then too. Morgead is street-smart and though he did not go to school, he is quite intelligent. He has an uncanny ability to tell a lie from a truth. Morgead takes care of himself. When Jez is by his side, he feels the need to take care of her too!

Poppy North runs high on life. She is energetic, totally carefree, and very adventuress. Poppy loves life and loves to give out love. She is a hopeless romantic. Poppy gets along with people really well but when she feels threatened or the need to protect, she will lash out with ferocity.

Raksha Keller:
Raksha Keller is a born leader. She is strong and has her head on her shoulders. When she knows what she has to do, Keller just does it. But Keller is an impatient person. She also finds it hard to deal with people who do not keep up. An aura of authority surrounds Keller. She is easily respected but she does not respect easily. When Keller devotes herself to something, she gives it her all.

Rashel Jordan:
Rashel Jordan is an expert marital artist. She is tough, fearless, and will take on seven vampires at once if she has to! Rashel had a lot of hate in her for vampires until she met her vampire soulmate, John Quinn. Only then did Rashel realise she had a great deal of loneliness as well. Now, Rashel is still tough but she has let her hatred go. Quinn says Rashel is intelligent, compassionate, and an honest fighter.

Thea Harman is gentle, compassionate, sweet, and romantic. Hannah Snow says Thea exudes an aura of serenity that makes any body in her presence feel at ease. Thea is also tough when she has to be. She is described as a warrior who never backs away from a fight.

Thierry Descouedres is gentle, caring, but fiercely protective. Thierry radiates power and authority, thanks to his title as Lord of the Night World. He is also a good leader, according to his Circle Daybreak recruits. Thierry is romantic and passionate. He does not keep his feelings checked; instead, he displays them – whether it be love, sadness, or anger – without inhibition. Other characteristics of Thierry are that he is loyal and he always follows his heart. Also note that Thierry is a good actor when he needs to be. Most Night People do not know that Thierry started up Circle Daybreak.
