L. J. Smith did not provide any hints in the Night World books as to which star-sign Quinn might belong to. After tediously researching all the signs, I have narrowed it down to three signs which I think Quinn has the most characteristics of. These were Scorpio, Aries, and Capricorn. I will let you read through the characteristics and decide for yourself which of these three signs Quinn might be.

Quinn a Scorpio?

Of all the star-signs, Quinn has greatest resemblance to the Scorpio sign. And believe it or not, I do not say that just because Quinn is sexy and unforgiving! Below are characteristics of the Scorpio sign that apply to Quinn specifically:

Scorpios are tough and resourceful.
They are intense people.
They fear betrayal.
They are determined to be powerful.
They have no qualms about confrontations.
They are good at giving orders.
They like loyalty.
They are very secretive. They keep things to themselves.
They trust only a handful of people.
They can be unforgiving and are prone to resentment.
They are charming and charismatic.
They are passionate lovers.
They are sexy.

Quinn was resentful. He was tough and powerful, and usually led rather than followed. Quinn bottled his anguish, not even opening up to Redfern sisters Lily and Garnet, or Ash Redfern. He caught the attraction of Rashel Jordan through his charm and skill and when he reformed, he also proved to be capable of being affectionate.

Quinn an Aries?

Some of the Aries characteristics that apply to Quinn include:

Arians are head-strong.
They like challenges.
They are highly competitive.
Knowledge and experience is important to them.
They have a lot of physical and mental energy.
They are quick-witted and sarcastic.
They act aloof at times.
They are, most of the time, honest and loyal.
They act tough on the outside but are emotional and sensitive on the inside.
They are flirty and sexy and like to be around the opposite gender.
They are hot-tempered.
They make passionate lovers.

You can tell by reading the characteristics above, that Quinn could be an Aries! One point I will make though is that Quinn was definitely not a play-boy. He despised humans, girls included. Quinn could be flirty and sexy – when he had to be. In my opinion, he treated it mainly as work, not enjoyment.

Quinn a Capricorn?

Before Quinn reformed, he shared many characteristics of the Capricorn sign. The ones that apply to Quinn include:

Capricorns are disciplined people.
They strive to achieve power.
They are hard working.
They have good business sense.
They like money.
They are said to be the wisest of the star-signs.
They can be ruthless.
They are down-to-earth.
They are efficient and organised.
They can be unforgiving.
They show little emotion.

The old Quinn could very well be a Capricorn. In my opinion, the characteristics of Capricorn describe the business-minded Quinn but not the personal Quinn – his easy-going nature, his sense of sarcasm, and so forth.
